World Prophecies

Watch the video below about Edgar Cayce, and the great change his readings foresaw, which many now place at 2027.

Edgar Cayce and 2027

Edgar Cayce (1877 to 1945) was an American who gave thousands of readings while in a sleep-like state, on health, on history and on what was to come, which is why he is often called the sleeping prophet. His readings were written down as he spoke and are still kept and studied today.

Among them are statements about a time of great change on the earth. His readings do not name the year 2027 themselves; that date comes from people who have studied them since. The video above sets out how they read it.

Now that you have watched it

Here is our answer to it: what we think it means, and what needs to be built to meet it.

Our response: 2027

The other prophecies

Cayce is not the only one. The Eagle and Condor prophecy of the Americas moves in five-hundred-year cycles. The turn of the astrological age into Aquarius is placed by many traditions around now. The Maya long count closed a great cycle in 2012. Seen together, a striking number of them point at the same few years.

Learn more about the other prophecies

These are long cycles, thousands of years in some cases, so no single year in them is meant to land exactly. What is worth noticing is that the turning points all fall around the same stretch of time, and that stretch is now. The picture above is a representation of that, not a measurement.

The Eagle and the CondorRead

The Andes tell it as two peoples and two ways of knowing: the Eagle, mind and industry and the material world, and the Condor, heart and intuition and the earth. The prophecy says the 1490s opened a five hundred year period in which the Eagle would grow so powerful it would nearly drive the Condor out of existence, which is exactly what followed. It also says a new five hundred years began around 1990, in which the two can fly in the same sky, and neither has to disappear for the other to live. It is the only one of these with a clean date, and it points at now.

Taripay Pacha, from the Q'eroRead

The Q'ero are high Andean herders who stayed above the reach of the Spanish and came down publicly in 1955. They hold that a world does not end so much as turn over, a pachakuti, and that this one turns into Taripay Pacha, roughly the age of meeting ourselves again. In the old telling it arrives with the return of Inkarri, the scattered Inca king whose body reassembles itself underground and rises whole. The reading that the age opened in the 1990s comes from the teachers who carried their rites west rather than from the oldest story, and the shape is the part that matters: the ending is a body putting itself back together, and the age is people recognising each other again.

Pisces to AquariusRead

The sky drifts backwards about one sign every two thousand one hundred and fifty years, and we are at the edge between two of them.

The age of Pisces, the one behind us, reads as belief and the saviour: truth held by an institution and handed down, one shepherd and a flock, faith set above evidence, the person dissolved into the body of believers.

The age of Aquarius reads as the network and the knower: knowledge distributed instead of granted, authority questioned, technology and the circle of equals, each person expected to see for themselves.

Nobody agrees when the change begins, and serious estimates run from the eighteen hundreds to well past two thousand six hundred. We put it around the same time as the rest, and the reason is not astronomy. It is where the world is already heading, and what we are building: what an Aquarian age would need underneath it is a way for people to know together without anyone owning the knowing, and that is the scaffolding on this site.

The yuga cycleRead

The Indian reckoning says time runs in four ages that descend and then climb back, from a golden age of direct knowing down to a dark age of materialism and up again. In the version most people mean, tied to the same slow wobble of the earth, the bottom passed around five hundred AD and the climb began around seventeen hundred, which is one way to read the last three centuries of exploding energy and communication. It lands a few hundred years before now, so it backs the direction of travel rather than the date.

The Maya Long Count and 2012Read

There is a real story under this one. The Long Count counts from the making of this world in 3114 BC, and the world before it ran thirteen of the same great units before it ended. December 2012 was this world reaching the same full count the last one did, and one carved monument names that date and a god of endings and beginnings coming down on it. What the Maya never said anywhere is that the world stops. A world-age completing its count is the honest reading, and it is the more interesting one.
